TreeWorks launches Zelist!

TreeWorks launches ZeList, the top of the romanian blogs calculated by "link love". Every week an automatic script parses the blogs (more than 4.000) and the pages to which they link, thus determining the importance of a blog as a result of the number of links that point to it and the importance of the blogs from which those links come. In essence, it is the same mechanism as the one Google uses to determine the importance of a web site.

Aside from this classification, ZeList contributes to the discovery of similar blogs, to the discovery of new blogs as a result of the introduction of tags, to the study of a blog's popularity evolution.

Moreover, in order to eliminate any suspicions, we decided to show as openly as possible the mechanism we use. Consequently, the users can see at any given time all the blogs that link to a certain other blog and also the updates in real-time, which allows them to check and make sure no error has been committed.
